TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi has criticized some media outlets for politicizing the issue of money laundering, saying fighting the issue is a strength for the Islamic Republic and its importance has been acknowledged by the nation and authorities.

“It has been stated on different occasions that the existence of money laundering in our country, like any other country, is an undeniable fact. What is important, though, is that a strong will exists in order to fight financial crimes and money laundering,” IRNA on Thursday quoted Qassemi as saying.
